1. What is Lemonjar stand for?

Lemonjar is the abbreviation to represent our company – Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd. It comes with the meaning of “lemon in a jar”. Our team is equipped with good technical skills that able to provide good solutions. We believe we have our own value in completing every task. Just as well as the concept where lemon is good for health.

2. What service that Lemonjar offering?

3. What is Koha ILS?

Koha is a fully featured, scalable library management system. Development is sponsored by libraries of varying types and sizes, volunteers, and support companies worldwide. Koha’s feature set continues to evolve and expand to meet the needs of its user base

4. What is Library Automation Equipment?

Library Automation Equipment is a third-party equipment to assist library in daily operation including circulation process, stocktaking and other operations. By having Library Automation Equipment will ease the librarian’s workload, and they can concentrate more time in library’s work such as cataloguing, and data management.

5. What is Convo-On-Stage?

Convo-On-Stage is the convocation ceremony assistant system in RFID approach. It is an in-house developed software mainly applicable to Colleges, Universities, Institutes or any related Bodies with identity needed for graduation ceremony. During the convocation ceremony, each student will be holding their own RFID card to represent themselves. Upon tapping their card to the RFID reader right before stepping up on stage, system will pronounce their names and display their graduation info without any error. About Lemonjar and Edge Tech:

1. What is the different between the 2 companies - Edge Tech Engineering and Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd.?

Edge Tech Engineering and Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd. is the same team. Edge Tech Engineering is equipped with the government’s MOF certificate. Whenever we are dealing with the government, we will be dealing under Edge Tech Engineering; And whenever we are dealing with private sector, we will be dealing under Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd.

2. When Edge Tech Engineering established?

Edge Tech Engineering is established since Aug 2008. The company is 12-years old this year and she’s well established in providing solutions on Library industry, enterprise data center, government and private in system integration, software development, library automation and other related.

3. When Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd. Established?

Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd is established since year 2012. The company is 8-years old this year.

4. How many years of experience Lemonjar team have in Koha ILS?

Lemonjar team has been implementing Koha ILS since year 2008 and we are having 14-years of experiences in it.

5. Besides of Koha Lemonjar services, what are other service that Lemonjar and Edge Tech providing?

We are the manufacturer of Library Automation Equipment. We have full range of solution from EM, RFID and Hybrid to fulfil library’s needs in automations solutions. Our products has been starting to export to other Southeast Asia countries. Check on our website on Lemonjar RFID for further info.

6. How many branch do Lemonjar and Edgetech have?

We have 3 branches in Malaysia. HQ is based in Sabah. We have a branch office at Subang 2 and Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Koha Local Premise Implementation:

1. What is Koha Local Premise Implementation?

For Local Premise Implementation, the library needs to prepare the infra like server/s, network and hosting service by themselves. We will provide the consultation of the server’s specification to the library. Then we will come to the premise to install and configure the system to you.

2. Is there any condition/ prerequisite for this service?

End user have to prepare their own server/ VM with our suggested minimum requirement of server specification. Since Koha ILS is a web-based system, end user has to prepare their own hosting infrastructure as well as 2 domain name/ URL for both Koha OPAC and Koha Staff Client interface.

3. What maintenance support is included for the first year (12-months) system warranty?

Lemonjar provide system warranty for the first 12-months after Koha ILS hand over. That’s including a 12-times monthly basis database & system cleaning and backup, as well as on-demand technical support online. All supports are provided via remotely via internet, WhatsApp, email and by phone basis. Lemonjar have an Issue Management System for end user to respond to their issue over internet and we shall delegate our team to resolve any supporting issue in systematic method for you. Onsite maintenance action will only be taken when issue cannot be resolve over internet during the warranty period.

4. Is it compulsory to engage Lemonjar’s subsequent year maintenance services under this package?

Koha ILS is free open source library system distributed under GNU/ GPL license. Lemonjar team is only charging to end user for our professional and labour charges for the implementation. Koha Local package is charged to end user in a one (1)-time initial charge only. While subsequent maintenance service to Lemonjar is an OPTIONAL service and it is NOT compulsory subscription service.

5. Is the subsequent year maintenance support including schedule onsite support?

By default, all Lemonjar maintenance support service is only remote support, which is maintenance support over internet, WhatsApp, email and by phone basis. If end user needs a schedule onsite maintenance support, you may need to outline to our team as end user will need to engage to our Onsite Maintenance Support with schedule 4-times corrective maintenance per year with charges.


Koha On SaaS:

1. What is Koha On SaaS?

Koha On SaaS is an annual subscription Koha ILS system prepared for end user. For Koha on SaaS, we will prepare the infra such as the On Cloud server, hosting services and some cyber security features to the library. You do not need to prepare the infra in this implementation, however the charges will be annually. We have 2 types of Koha on SaaS service, which are Koha On Cloud (for small and medium library) and Koha on HCI (for enterprise library).

2. What is the charges for this package?

Koha On Cloud is an annual subscription Koha ILS System prepared for end user. Currently we have Koha On Cloud 10K, 20k and 30k. More advanced services are coming, please stay with us.

3. How to enrol to this service?

It is as simple as 6-steps to enrol into this package subscription. First of all, please kindly fill in the request form on our website page with information required. Our team will create the Koha ILS for your in 48-hours for your 30-days trial use. After 30-days, our team will confirm with you to proceed. 4. Can we decide for our own URL name for the library?

Yes you can. We will required you to fill in your desired URL in our form, then we shall check with the hosting domain name for confirmation.

5. How is the support for this package?

Lemonjar provide system warranty for the first 12-months after Koha ILS hand over. That’s including a 12-times monthly basis database & system cleaning and backup, as well as on-demand technical support online. All supports are provided via remotely via internet, WhatsApp, email and by phone basis. You may report your issue to us via our Issue Management System online, and we shall delegate our team to resolve the issue for you the soonest we can.

6. Can we have full access to the Koha ILS hosted on this package?

Yes you can. Since you are the system owner for the system on cloud, you hold the super librarian login for the system. Our team only provide our maintenance support when you responded to our Issue Management System over internet.


Koha ILS Training:

1. What is Koha ILS Training?

We have 3 types of training for Koha ILS; onsite training, online training and training videos. Onsite Training means we will send our experienced engineers to your site and provide the training to you, the training is come with hardcopy training manual. While Online Training means we will having the training using Zoom, the training session will be recorded, and will share to you, together the training is come with hardcopy training manual. And for Training Videos, we will provide you an account to our Lemonjar Learning platform, you can subscribe to our training videos for you to self learning, it will save a lot. We are providing 2 types of courses for Koha ILS which are Koha ILS User Training  and Koha ILS Administration Level 1.

2. What training is available to be customised from the webinar training?

Participants may customize their desired Koha modules based on our 2 types of trainings which are Koha User Training (Training code: LSM-K-101) and Koha Admin Level 1 Training (Training code: LSM-K-201).

Library Automation Equipment (EM/ RFID/ Hybrid):

1. What solution under Library Automation Equipment that Lemonjar and Edgetech providing?

We have 3 types of solution under our Library Automation Equipment – EM (Electromagnetic) Solutions, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Solutions and Hybrid (EM + RFID) Solution. Check on our website on page Lemonjar RFID for further info.

2. What is EM Solution?

EM is abbreviation for Electromagnetic. EM solution is mainly to protect materials within library, and to prevent theft within libraries.

3. What is RFID Solution?

RFID is abbreviation for Radio Frequency Identification. The RFID solution are to provide conveniences to library in automation during circulation process to patrons, also to provide convenience in stocktaking process within library.

4. What is Hybrid Solution?

Hybrid solution comprise of combination solution for EM and RFID. It comes with both EM and RFID features in providing comprehensive solution to library’s needs.

5. What are the products under EM solution?

6. What are the products under RFID solution?

Lemonjar is providing RFID HF (High Frequency) and UHF (Ultra High Frequency) solutions with the range of producs such as RFID tags, RFID Desk, RFID Gate, RFID Self Check Kiosk, RFID Book Drop and Stock Take Reader. Check on our website to page Lemonjar RFID for further info.

7. What are the products under Hybrid solution?

Convo-On-Stage:

1. What is Convo-On-Stage?

Convo-On-Stage is the convocation ceremony assistant system in RFID approach. It is an in-house developed software mainly applicable to Colleges, Universities, Institutes or any related Bodies with identity needed for graduation ceremony.

2. How does the system works?

During the convocation ceremony, each student will be holding their own RFID card to represent themselves. 3. What features for Convo-On-Stage?

Convo-On-Stage allow end user to do voice recording in order able to pronounce student’s name during graduation ceremony, paring RFID card to student to assign ‘identity’ to that particular person, adjusting live screen and others. The software comes with 3 sub-modules: Main Unit, Flow Unit and Checker Unit. Each module are having its own purpose in assisting end use to well-manage the student during graduation ceremony.
